🔸 El hombre fue identificado como David Sides Fuentes, quien solicitó la concesión la semana pasada
#NACIONAL | Pese a que no es el dueño del pato, un hombre residente en Yucatán solicitó la semana pasada al Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial (IMPI) la concesión de la marca comercial de “Pato Merín”.
En el expediente 3643308, cuya copia posee EL UNIVERSAL, se detalla que el pasado 17 de junio, un hombre identificado como David Sides Fuentes, residente en Mérida, Yucatán, solicitó al IMPI la concesión por 10 años de la marca y logo de “El Pato Merlín. El pato de la suerte”.
Destaca que el diseño del logotipo que busca registrar es un pato con una playera verde con una imagen de Quetzalcoatl -similar a la que usa la Selección Mexicana de Futbol- y detrás de él, el Calendario Azteca.
El expediente detalla que el solicitante busca ocupar la marca y logotipo del “Pato Merlín” para usarla en docenas de negocios, entre ellas para uso publicitario de campañas políticas.
También busca usar en incubadoras de negocios, gestión empresarial de artistas y deportistas.
Ayer lunes, el pato “Merlín” y sus dueños asistieron a la conferencia mañanera de la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo en Palacio Nacional, quien informó que ayudará a la familia dueña del ave “en todo lo que necesite” para que tenga “una mejor calidad de vida”.
La señora Karla, dueña del popular pato, compartió que se han vuelto virales en las redes y en los medios porque son “una familia trabajadora, que se levanta todos los días para ir por ese sustento” y anunció que registraría al pato como marca.
La mañana de ayer, en Palacio Nacional, la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum denunció que una persona buscaba registrar al Pato “Merlín” y lo cual calificó como un abuso.
“No es justo que alguien más quería registrar al pato como una marca. ¡Imagínense, qué abuso!”.
La jefa del Ejecutivo federal señaló que su gobierno ayudó a la familia a registrar al ave ante el IMPI.
