Tras recibir el reporte, bomberos y personal de Protección Civil desplegaron un operativo en el canal pluvial para localizar a las víctimas. Mediante el uso de cuerdas y equipo especializado, lograron extraer primero al perro y posteriormente al hombre, quien presentaba signos de agotamiento tras permanecer varios minutos en el agua.
Ambos recibieron atención en el lugar y, de acuerdo con el reporte preliminar, no presentaban lesiones de gravedad, por lo que no fue necesario trasladarlos a un hospital.
