🔸 La propuesta plantea una Ley General para unificar la definición del delito, los criterios de investigación y las sanciones en las 32 entidades del país, con penas de hasta 70 años de prisión.
#NACIONAL | La presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo envió al Congreso de la Unión una iniciativa de Ley General contra el Feminicidio, con el objetivo de homologar en todo el país la definición del delito, los protocolos de investigación y las sanciones aplicables, a fin de evitar diferencias entre las legislaciones estatales.
La propuesta establece un tipo penal único para el feminicidio y contempla penas de 50 a 70 años de prisión en todo el territorio nacional. Además, incorpora 19 agravantes que permitirán incrementar la sanción en casos específicos, como cuando la víctima sea una niña, adolescente, adulta mayor, esté embarazada o viva con alguna discapacidad.
Durante la presentación de la iniciativa, Sheinbaum señaló que uno de los principales objetivos es impedir que las muertes violentas de mujeres sean clasificadas erróneamente como homicidios o suicidios, por lo que la ley también busca homologar los criterios de actuación de las fiscalías y fortalecer las investigaciones desde el inicio de cada caso.
La iniciativa contempla, además, medidas para garantizar una atención integral a las víctimas indirectas y sus familias, así como mecanismos de coordinación entre autoridades federales, estatales y municipales para mejorar la prevención, investigación y sanción de este delito.
El proyecto será turnado a las comisiones correspondientes en el Congreso de la Unión para su análisis, discusión y eventual aprobación. De ser avalado, México contaría por primera vez con una legislación general que establecería criterios uniformes para investigar y sancionar el feminicidio en las 32 entidades federativas.
