🔸 Mientras mandatarios conservadores celebran su victoria, la elección de Nasry Asfura ocurre entre señalamientos por presuntas irregularidades durante su gestión en Tegucigalpa.
#INTERNACIONAL | Los gobiernos de derecha y ultraderecha de Latinoamérica felicitaron a Nasry Asfura por quedar electo como presidente de Honduras, lo que representa un avance de los gobiernos conservadores en el continente.
El pasado 24 de diciembre, el Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE) terminó el conteo de 2 mil 792 actas que restaban por supuestas inconsistencias y errores.
De esa forma, el órgano electoral indicó que Nasry Asfura obtuvo el 40.3% de los sufragios. Superó al candidato de centroderecha del Partido Liberal, Salvador Nasralla, quien alcanzó el 39.5%.
Con este resultado, Nasry Asfura asumirá como presidente de Honduras el próximo 27 de enero de 2026.
Las felicitaciones no se hicieron esperar. El secretario de Estado de Estados Unidos, Marco Rubio, manifestó la disposición de su gobierno para colaborar en un futuro.
Dicha declaración ocurrió en un marco donde Donald Trump apoyó intensamente a Nasry Asfura. El 26 de noviembre, el mandatario estadounidense dijo esperar que “el pueblo de Honduras vote por la libertad y la democracia, y elija a Tito Asfura como presidente.”
Por su parte, el presidente de derecha argentino, Javier Milei, indicó que este triunfo es la “derrota contundente del narcosocialismo”.
Nasry Asfura ha dado muestras de su simpatía por el ultraderechista argentino. En su cuenta de X, indicó que compartían “los mismos ideales y valores” el 30 de noviembre pasado.
A su vez, extendieron sus felicitaciones los presidentes derechistas de Panamá, Paraguay y Costa Rica.
Nasry Asfura asumirá como presidente de Honduras tras una serie de señalamientos en su contra. Fue acusado por presunto desvío y malversación de fondos en sus dos periodos como alcalde de Tegucigalpa, entre 2014 y 2022.
Además, organizaciones ambientalistas acusaron una deforestación en dicha demarcación, debido a que el entonces alcalde supuestamente priorizó obras viales en la capital.
Así sucedió con la entrega de permisos para la construcción de una zona residencial cerca del Parque Nacional La Tigra, lo que derivó en protestas de organizaciones civiles en 2019, documentadas por medios de comunicación locales.
