🔸 El vocero de Seguridad, Jorge Cuéllar, expresó que especialistas abordaron la conexión entre la violencia hacia los animales y la sociedad.
#TAMAULIPAS | El Secretariado Ejecutivo del Sistema Estatal de Seguridad Pública, a través de la Coordinación General de Prevención del Delito y Vinculación Ciudadana, realizaron el Segundo Foro Estatal de No Violencia Animal, en donde especialistas abordaron la conexión entre la violencia hacia los animales y la sociedad, informó el titular del organismo en Tamaulipas, Jorge Cuellar Montoya.
“Un alto porcentaje de las personas que violentan animales son potenciales violentadores de personas, asesinos incluso, entonces por eso es importante hacer conciencia en la sociedad en los ciudadanos, prevenir la violencia contra los animales desde niños”, señaló.
Por su parte, Arturo Berlanga Activista de AnimaNaturalis, destacó que México se encuentra dentro de los cinco primeros lugares en América Latina de mayores casos de maltrato y violencia hacia los animales y estos son focos rojos porque hay que tener precisamente la relación, y dejar en claro que la violencia hacia los animales es detonante de violencia social.
“Desafortunadamente en México, las penalidades por este delito varían dependiendo de los estados, en el caso de la Ciudad de México es de hasta seis años de prisión, pero entidades como Aguascalientes y Sinaloa, contemplan seis meses de prisión por maltrato y violencia animal, mientras que en Tamaulipas no existe ninguna sentencia por esta causa”, dijo.
El ponente durante el segundo Foro Estatal de No Violencia Animal, Arturo Berlanga, dijo que desafortunadamente Tamaulipas, no está tipificado el delito de maltrato animal.
