De tres a cuatro días podrían tardar en arribar a México los restos de los integrantes de la familia que perdió la vida en un viaje en helicóptero para conocer el monte Everest, informó Federico Salas, embajador de México en la India.

En entrevista, estableció que se está brindando todo el apoyo a los parientes para los trámites de repatriación.

Mencionó que las dos opciones para repatriar los restos de Ismael Sifuentes Rincón, su esposa, Luz González Olacio, y sus hijos Fernando, Abril y María José sería enviar los cuerpos o las cenizas, en caso de que la familia opte por una cremación.

La tragedia de la familia Sifuentes Rincón se dio a conocer a nivel internacional, el martes cuando se informó que el helicóptero, perteneciente a la empresa Manang Air, en el que realizaban un paseo turístico, se estrelló cerca del Everest, en Nepal.

Añadió que estos viajes se realizan de forma rutinaria en los circuitos turísticos de ese lugar.

Además, especificó que la representación de México en la India está haciendo todos los trámites para agilizar el proceso de repatriación de los restos de la familia.

Detalló que en Nepal hay un cónsul honorario que se está encargando de ver directamente el caso, así como de que se regresen a la familia las pertenencias que los occisos dejaron en el hotel en donde se hospedaban.

Salas comentó que hasta ahora ningún familiar de los fallecidos ha expresado su intención de viajar a Nepal; sin embargo, en caso de ser así se le brindaría el apoyo correspondiente.
