#XALAPA | Coatepec abre el telón y se planta, otra vez, en el mapa nacional de las artes escénicas, ya que desde hoy y hasta el 23 de agosto, la ciudad cafetalera celebrará la cuarta edición del Festival de Teatro Coatepec.
Esta apuesta escénica independiente insiste en que el teatro sigue siendo un músculo vivo, capaz de transformar espacios, miradas y biografías enteras, tal como lo plantean los organizadores.
La inauguración será hoy a las 17:00 horas en el Centro Cultural Coatepecano, ubicado en Pedro Jiménez del Campillo 4 (esquina Cuauhtémoc), Centro, donde se cortará el listón.
Acto seguido, el investigador teatral Domingo Adame ofrecerá una charla introductoria. Con esa conferencia arranca una programación que se realizará en múltiples sedes y que busca, de acuerdo con su director, Ciro García, “mudar por instantes” lugares cotidianos —incluida la histórica cantina La Estrella de Oro— en territorios donde el cuerpo, la voz y la imaginación se vuelven herramientas de creación.
El Festival de Teatro Coatepec apuesta por una mezcla de lenguajes: circo, comedia musical, teatro de texto, teatro físico y propuestas híbridas que exploran la expresión corporal como si el cuerpo fuese un lápiz que dibuja en el aire. Las funciones se distribuirán entre el teatro al aire libre del IMSS, el Foro Coatepec y otros espacios que, por unos días, se convertirán en escenarios para compañías locales y regionales.
El programa fue presentado por Ciro García, acompañado por Sergio Martínez Castizo, Evaristo Rivera Sánchez y Luis Ángel Ramírez. El encuentro reunió a actores, alumnos y colaboradores que participan en esta edición.
El director del festival subrayó que el encuentro busca convocar a la comunidad a sumarse a las artes escénicas, a explorar la expresión corporal y vocal como un camino de transformación personal. “Es probable que alguien descubra un talento que ha permanecido oculto durante años”, expresó.
