#NACIONAL | La telefónica Telcel cuenta con 85 millones de clientes en México, quienes a partir del 7 de enero de 2026 tendrán que vincular la Clave Única de Registro de Población (CURP), así como su credencial para votar emitida por el Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE) a su línea telefónica.
«Por disposición oficial, a partir del 07 de enero de 2026, para contratar y/o mantener tu línea Telcel, será obligatorio vincularla a tu identificación oficial con fotografía y CURP», señala la telefónica en su página web, en donde es clara al afirmar que en caso de que NO se realice ese trámite las cuentas serán suspendidas.
Telcel aseguró que «todas las líneas que no estén vinculadas serán suspendidas» hasta que se realice la actualización, por lo que exhortó a sus clientes, tanto mexicanos como extranjeros, a realizarlo a través de dos modalidades:
1.En línea
2.Presencial, a través de un Centro de Atención a Clientes
Esta nueva disposición obedece a medidas de la misma telefónica y de las autoridades para combatir delitos como extorsión, fraude, suplantación de identidad y otros que pueden cometerse a través de los dispositivos móviles, por ello es que debes realizar esta vinculación hasta el 29 de junio de 2026.
«A partir del 30 de junio de 2026, todas las líneas que no estén vinculadas serán suspendidas hasta que se realice la vinculación», señala Telcel.
Requisitos para vincular tu línea de celular en Telcel
Para este nuevo trámite, debes tener a la mano los siguientes documentos:
Credencial para votar (INE) o pasaporte
Documento Nacional de Identidad (CURP Biométrica).
Nombre completo (Como se muestra en tu identificación oficial)
CURP (si no la conoces ingresa a https://www.gob.mx/curp/ para consultarla)
Si optaste por realizar la vinculación de tu línea en la Modalidad Remota, adicionalmente se te solicitará:
Una prueba de vida (selfie) a fin de autenticarte y validar la identificación oficial que decidas proporcionar.
Tratándose de extranjeros, sólo se podrá realizar con Pasaporte vigente o, en su caso, CURP temporal para extranjeros.
