#QUINTANAROOO | La Legislatura de la Justicia Social aprobó la reforma federal que eleva a rango constitucional la protección y cuidado animal.
La minuta establece las modificaciones a los artículos 3, 4 y 73 de la Constitución Política de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, en los cuales se prohíbe el maltrato a los animales y se establece que el Estado mexicano deberá garantizar la protección, el trato adecuado, la conservación y el cuidado a estos seres vivos.
La reforma, impulsada por las bancadas de MORENA en el Congreso de la Unión, contempla que el Estado mexicano debe garantizar la protección, el trato adecuado, la conservación y el cuidado de los animales, en los términos que señalen las leyes respectivas.
También se estipula que los planes y programas de estudio que se impartan tienen que incluir temas de cuidado animal.
En los transitorios se detalla que la norma debe considerar la prohibición del maltrato en la crianza, el aprovechamiento y sacrificio de animales para consumo humano y en la utilización de ejemplares de vida silvestre en espectáculos con fines de lucro, así como las medidas necesarias para atender el control de plagas y riesgos sanitarios.
