Sin importar que queden cuartos o quintos en la tabla de posiciones, Pumas se clasificó directo a los Cuartos de Final de la Liguilla en el Apertura 2024 para evitar el Play-In y el desgaste de sus jugadores.
Si Rayados no gana el domingo, Pumas quedará cuarto y con la posibilidad incluso de que si no es Monterrey, América puede ser su rival en los Cuartos de Final en caso de que gane a Toluca y espera un marcador adverso de los regios.
Mazatlán, por su parte, se quedó con 14 puntos y con saldo de dos triunfos, cuatro empates y dos derrotas como local a lo largo del torneo regular de la Liga MX.
