#QUINTANAROO | En un esfuerzo sin precedentes por reforzar la seguridad en el Centro Penitenciario de Benito Juárez, la Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana (SSC) de Quintana Roo llevó a cabo este día un operativo de inspección en las instalaciones de Cancún. La acción, desarrollada en coordinación con la Guardia Nacional, la Secretaría de Marina, la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional, la Fiscalía General del Estado, así como con la Policía Preventiva y Municipal, buscó identificar y decomisar objetos no permitidos, además de reforzar el orden al interior del penal.
Durante la revisión, los elementos de seguridad lograron asegurar 32 teléfonos, 37 cargadores, tres audífonos, 46 memorias USB, 12 puntas, 19 cables USB, nueve grameadoras, un cargador de laptop, nueve adaptadores USB y seis módems. Asimismo, se incautaron 19 mil 615 pesos en efectivo de diversas denominaciones y 31 dólares.
En el operativo también se encontraron sustancias prohibidas: 469 gramos de marihuana, 105 gramos de un polvo blanco aún por identificar, 180 dosis de cristal, 30 gramos adicionales de cristal, tres dosis de marihuana y una pastilla de color café.
La SSC subrayó que el objetivo de esta intervención es garantizar la seguridad de las personas privadas de su libertad, así como de las comunidades vecinas al penal. Además, exhortaron a la ciudadanía a mantenerse informada a través de fuentes oficiales y evitar la propagación de noticias falsas.
