Fabricantes y comercializadores de autos con operaciones en México urgieron a la reactivación del flujo comercial en la frontera.
Líderes del sector automotriz hicieron un llamado a las autoridades mexicanas a redoblar los esfuerzos en dialogar con sus contrapartes en EU para reactivar el flujo comercial en la frontera norte de México.
La petición difundida este viernes, encabezada por la Asociación Mexicana de la Industria Automotriz (AMIA), surgió luego de que el excesivo flujo de migrantes en la frontera entre México y EU ha propiciado un freno al tránsito en las cargas, y un daño millonario a la industria.
“Desde la Asociación Mexicana de la Industria Automotriz hacemos un llamado a los gobiernos federal y locales a redoblar los esfuerzos de diálogo y colaboración con las autoridades del vecino país del norte, en la búsqueda de acuerdos que permitan resolver estos temas tan delicados, que ya están teniendo impactos importantes en las operaciones de comercio y, con ello, en la economía de las dos naciones”, indicó.
En la víspera, empresarios del norte de México también se manifestaron en contra de medidas como las activadas en Texas, donde, con el objetivo de evitar el cruce ilegal de migrantes, las revisiones a las cargas se tornaron lentas retrasando el flujo de mercancías e incluso varando unidades de carga que se dirigen hacia el territorio estadunidense.
La AMIA expuso que si bien se está lidiando con una crisis humanitaria, urge una solución que no afecte el comercio.
“Instamos a las autoridades de ambos países a tomar las medidas pertinentes para solucionar las afectaciones que se están teniendo en materia de comercio internacional. Hacemos hincapié en buscar preservar la seguridad de las personas, al tiempo que se mantiene un flujo adecuado de mercancías”, expresó.
Incluso, añadió la AMIA que la situación es una oportunidad para tejer alianzas que permitan abordar problemáticas como la actual no solo de manera inmediata sino a largo plazo, con un enfoque humanitario y previniendo afectaciones económicas que empeoran la problemática social.
