#GROENLANDIA | Múte B. Egede, Primer Ministro de Groenlandia, ha respondido a la propuesta de Donald Trump sobre la posibilidad de que Groenlandia se una a Estados Unidos. En un comunicado emitido el 5 de marzo, Egede reafirmó la autonomía de Groenlandia y subrayó que sus habitantes son ciudadanos groenlandeses, y no daneses ni estadounidenses.
El miércoles, Muté Bourup Egede, primer ministro de Groenlandia, hizo una declaración en groenlandés y danés a través de Facebook, en la que se refirió a la atención que el territorio ha recibido por parte de Trump.

En su discurso ante el Congreso de los Estados Unidos, el presidente formuló una propuesta engañosa al pueblo de Groenlandia, prometiendo protección y prosperidad a cambio de la cesión de la administración de su territorio al gobierno estadounidense, con el fin de llevar a cabo su anexión.
«Apoyamos firmemente su derecho a determinar su propio futuro y, si así lo elige, le damos la bienvenida a los Estados Unidos de América. Los protegeremos, los haremos ricos y juntos llevaremos a Groenlandia a alturas que nunca antes imaginaron que fueran posibles.»
Lars Løkke Rasmussen, el Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores de Dinamarca, declaró que no existen indicios de que Groenlandia aspire a separarse de Dinamarca con el fin de unirse a Estados Unidos. Defendió el derecho a la autodeterminación de los pueblos y expresó su preocupación por las declaraciones del expresidente Trump, considerándolas una intervención que podría comprometer la soberanía de Groenlandia, la cual busca alcanzar una autonomía plena respecto a Dinamarca.
